Telangana NEET UG 2026 Provisional MBBS/BDS Merit List Released

Important Telangana MBBS/BDS counselling update: Kaloji Narayana Rao University of Health Sciences (KNRUHS) has officially published the Provisional Merit List for MBBS/BDS admissions under Competent Authority Quota for 2026-27.

A separate List of Ineligible Candidates has also been published.

Which Counselling Route Is This For?

This update applies to:

Telangana MBBS/BDS — Competent Authority Quota

It should not be confused with the separately operated Management Quota counselling.

Management Quota, including applicable B/C/NRI routes, remains a separate admission process.

What Candidates Should Check in the Merit List

Search your NEET Roll Number/name and carefully verify:

• NEET UG 2026 AIR
• NEET score
• candidate name
• category
• EWS status, where applicable
• local / non-local status
• Minority status, where applicable
• other eligibility remarks

Do not assume your counselling eligibility is confirmed simply because you had successfully submitted an application.

The provisional merit stage follows scrutiny of uploaded certificates and eligibility conditions.

Separate Ineligible Candidate List Released

KNRUHS has also published a separate list of candidates found ineligible during scrutiny.

The official ineligible list shows reasons against affected candidates.

Examples of issues visible in the official list include deficiencies relating to:

• study certificates
• SSC / education records
• local-status requirements
• required uploaded documents

If your name does not appear where expected in the provisional merit list, check the ineligible candidate list immediately.

Local Status Is Especially Important

Telangana medical counselling has specific local-area and eligibility requirements.

Candidates should carefully verify whether their displayed local status matches their uploaded study/residence documents.

A wrong local/non-local classification can materially affect the seats for which a candidate is eligible.

Category Must Also Be Checked

Check that the reservation category shown against your record is correct.

Applicable Telangana categories can include:

• OC
• EWS
• BC-A
• BC-B
• BC-C
• BC-D
• BC-E
• SC
• ST
• PwD and applicable horizontal/special categories

Do not wait until web-option entry to notice a category discrepancy.

What Happens After the Provisional Merit List?

The provisional merit list is not the final counselling merit list.

KNRUHS will complete the merit/eligibility process before moving to the next counselling stages.

Students should continue monitoring for:

2. Seat Matrix
3. Phase-I Web Options / Choice Filling
4. Seat Allotment Result
5. Reporting / Admission instructions

Exact dates and times should be followed only after KNRUHS officially publishes them.

Important for Management Quota Candidates

This provisional list is specifically for the Competent Authority Quota.

Candidates registered separately under Management Quota should not treat this as the Management Quota merit list.

Management counselling includes different eligibility and seat routes, including applicable private/minority/NRI categories.

What Students Should Do Now

1. Open the official KNRUHS notifications page.
2. Download the 24 August Competent Authority Quota provisional merit list.
3. Search your NEET Roll Number/name.
4. Verify AIR and NEET score.
5. Verify category.
6. Verify local/non-local status.
7. Check the separate ineligible-candidate list if your record is missing or marked incorrectly.
8. Keep supporting documents ready for any officially permitted grievance/representation.
9. Continue checking KNRUHS for the final merit list and Phase-I web-options notification.
