What Has Changed?

AMRU had earlier published the provisional Round 1 allocation.

The final allocation is now officially available, so Himachal Pradesh should no longer be shown as:

Provisional Result

or

Final Result Awaited

The operative Round 1 result is now:

Final Seat Allocation Published

948 Final Allotments Listed

The official final allocation PDF runs to 59 pages and the serial numbers extend to 948 allotted candidates.

The list includes allocations across:

  • Government MBBS colleges
  • Government Dental College
  • Private MBBS
  • Private BDS
  • HP Quota
  • Management Quota
  • NRI Quota
  • reserved categories
  • special reservation/claim routes

This is therefore the correct primary source for HGE's Round 1 allotment and cutoff extraction.

Important New MBBS Seat at GMC Chamba

AMRU's final-result notice records an important seat change.

In compliance with directions of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, the National Medical Commission has created a:

Supernumerary MBBS seat at Pandit Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba

The seat has been allotted in accordance with the Court's directions.

HGE Data Rule

Do not treat this supernumerary seat as an ordinary recurring category seat in future annual seat totals unless NMC/AMRU separately confirms that status.

Maintain it with an appropriate note such as:

Supernumerary — Court Directed

This avoids artificially increasing the normal recurring seat capacity.

Major Government MBBS Colleges Visible in Final Allocation

The final result contains allotments at major Himachal Government medical colleges including:

  • Indira Gandhi Medical College, Shimla
  • Dr. Rajendra Prasad Government Medical College, Tanda
  • Dr. Radhakrishnan Government Medical College, Hamirpur
  • Dr. Y.S. Parmar Government Medical College, Nahan
  • Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College, Ner Chowk
  • Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba

The ordering of allotments clearly shows IGMC Shimla and RPGMC Tanda dominating the higher merit positions, making them key benchmarks for analysing top-end HP Government MBBS preferences.

Private MBBS — Keep Quota Separate

The result also contains MBBS allotments to:

Maharishi Markandeshwar Medical College, Kumarhatti, Solan

with separate routes including:

  • HP Quota where applicable
  • Management Quota
  • NRI Quota

These must never be merged into a single “Private MBBS cutoff”.

For HGE cutoff extraction, use:

College + Course + Admission Quota + Allotted Category + Round

BDS Allotments

The final list also contains Government/private dental allocations including institutions such as:

  • H.P. Government Dental College, Shimla
  • Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar
  • Bhojia Dental College & Hospital, Nalagarh
  • Himachal Institute of Dental Sciences, Paonta Sahib

Private dental allocations include both HP and Management-route combinations depending on the candidate/allotment.

BDS cutoff analysis must remain separate from MBBS.

Reservation Structure — Preserve Original HP Codes

The final allotment contains multiple special reservation pathways beyond the standard vertical categories.

Examples visible in the final file include:

  • General
  • EWS
  • SC
  • ST
  • OBC
  • Backward Area
  • PwD / Physically Handicapped
  • Widows/Wards of Ex-Servicemen
  • Wards/Wives of Defence Personnel
  • Ward of Freedom Fighters
  • Single Girl Child
  • Children of J&K Migrants
  • NRI

HGE Mapping Rule

Do not turn special claims into independent vertical categories.

For example:

Vertical Category: General

Special Claim: PwD

or

Vertical Category: applicable parent category

Special Claim: Defence / Ex-Servicemen

The original AMRU category/claim should also be preserved for audit.

Very Important Certificate Warning

AMRU specifically warns candidates claiming any reserved category or quota to ensure that certificates are:

  • valid,
  • updated,
  • in the prescribed format,
  • submitted as required by the prospectus.

If a certificate is outdated, invalid or missing, AMRU states that the candidate may lose the benefit of the claimed category/quota.

The final eligibility/category claim remains subject to verification by the Admission Committee of the allotted institution.

Allotment Does Not Automatically Complete Admission

AMRU explicitly says that an allotment alone does not create an unconditional right to admission.

Final admission remains subject to:

  • eligibility verification
  • document verification
  • category/quota verification
  • institutional approval
  • completion of the prescribed admission procedure

Download Allotment Letter First

AMRU advises allotted candidates to approach their allotted college/institute only after downloading the Provisional Allotment Letter from the candidate login.

The official notice states that admission will not be considered without AMRU's seat allocation.

Student Action

  1. Login to AMRU counselling portal.
  2. Check final Round 1 allocation.
  3. Download provisional allotment letter.
  4. Verify college.
  5. Verify MBBS/BDS.
  6. Verify admission quota.
  7. Verify allotted seat category.
  8. Recheck all reservation/special-claim certificates.
  9. Keep originals ready.
  10. Follow the current AMRU/college reporting instructions.

Important Schedule Warning

The original prospectus had scheduled:

Final Allocation — 26 August

and

Joining — 28 & 29 August

However, the actual Final Seat Allocation has now been released only on:

29 August 2026

Therefore HGE should not continue displaying the old 28–29 August joining dates as a live operative deadline without a revised AMRU instruction.

The new final-allocation notice itself does not state a revised final reporting deadline.

Correct HGE Approach

Show:

Final Result Published / Reporting Instructions Active

and keep the exact reporting deadline as:

Awaiting/verify from current AMRU candidate login or revised official schedule

rather than displaying a stale deadline.

Round 1 Result Analysis — What It Means

The final allotment list shows a clear hierarchy in student preference.

Top Government MBBS

IGMC Shimla and RPGMC Tanda dominate the higher-merit part of the final allocation.

These should be analysed separately when deriving Round 1 Government MBBS cutoff benchmarks.

Other Government MBBS Colleges

As merit progresses, allocations spread to:

  • Hamirpur
  • Nahan
  • Ner Chowk
  • Chamba

This creates a useful Government MBBS preference ladder for Round 2 planning.

Private MBBS

MMMC Kumarhatti appears across Management and NRI/allied routes and should be analysed independently from Government MBBS.

BDS

Government and private dental colleges extend substantially deeper into the State merit list and provide a different Round 2 opportunity band.

Round 2 Upgradation Guidance

Candidates who did not receive their preferred college should evaluate the Round 1 final result carefully.

Possible Round 2 movement can arise from:

  • candidates taking MCC seats,
  • candidates moving to another State,
  • non-joining,
  • document/category rejection,
  • upgrades from lower Government colleges,
  • movement out of private MBBS,
  • BDS-to-MBBS movement where possible.

Do not predict Round 2 using one overall Himachal cutoff.

Use:

College + Course + Quota + Category + Round 1 closing merit

HGE Cutoff Extraction Rule

The official final-result file provides fields including:

  • Merit No.
  • Application No.
  • Candidate
  • Institute allotted
  • Applied quota
  • Category of application
  • Admission quota
  • Allotted seat category

Therefore the correct Round 1 cutoff key should be:

College + Course + Round + Admission Quota + Allotted Seat Category

with special claims preserved separately.

Do not calculate the cutoff only from the candidate's applied category.

Hire Guide Education Advice

If you received a seat, first download the AMRU allotment letter and carefully verify:

College → Course → Quota → Allotted Category → Documents

before admission.

Candidates planning Round 2 should use this final list—not the earlier provisional allocation—as the correct benchmark for college/category movement.
