These are allotment counts in the provisional result, not the total annual seat matrix.

What Candidates Must Check Now

Search the official result using your:

  • Application Number

  • NEET Rank

  • State Rank

Then verify all of the following:

  1. Allotted college

  2. Course — MBBS or BDS

  3. Allotted Quota

  4. Allotted Category

  5. Candidate category

  6. Special category, if applicable

  7. Whether the allotment matches your submitted choices and eligibility

⚠️ Do not check only the college name.

OJEE itself has specifically highlighted the quota and category columns for verification.

Discrepancy Deadline — 25 August at 2 PM

The official result states that any discrepancy/query relating to the provisional allotment may be sent to:

odishaojee.mbbsquerry@gmail.com

before:

25 August 2026, 2:00 PM

Candidates finding a genuine mismatch should act before this deadline.

Keep:

  • Application Number

  • NEET Rank

  • State Rank

  • screenshot/PDF evidence

  • exact issue in allotted quota/category

ready while submitting the query.

Important — This Is PROVISIONAL, Not Final

OJEE has labelled this result:

“PROVISIONAL ALLOTMENT OF CANDIDATES”

Therefore HGE should not lock Odisha 2026 Round 1 cutoffs as final yet.

Use this file for:

  • preliminary allotment analysis

  • candidate checking

  • discrepancy detection

  • provisional cutoff zones

Wait for the official Final Round 1 allotment/result before permanently updating the production Cutoff Explorer and Predictor.

Odisha Category & Quota Codes — Important for HGE Data

The official allotment uses detailed codes.

Main Quotas

  • HS — Home State

  • SGS — State Government School

  • NR — Non-Resident Indian

Main Allotted Categories

  • OPNO — Unreserved

  • EBNO — SEBC

  • EWNO — General-EWS

  • SCNO — SC

  • STNO — ST

It also contains horizontal/special combinations such as:

  • Green Card

  • Ex-Servicemen

  • Physically Challenged/PwBD

For example:

  • OPGC

  • OPEX

  • OPPH

  • EBGC

  • EBEX

  • EBPH

  • SCGC

  • SCEX

  • SCPH

  • STGC

  • STEX

  • STPH

HGE should preserve these exact source codes before normalisation.

Preliminary Round 1 MBBS Analysis

The first candidate in the official allotment has:

NEET AIR 80 → SCB Medical College, Cuttack → MBBS → HS → OPNO

This confirms SCB Medical College remains the strongest State counselling preference in Odisha.

Preliminary Home-State Open MBBS Pattern

In the provisional file, Home-State OPNO allotments at major Government colleges extend approximately to:

  • SCB Medical College, Cuttack: AIR 3,887

  • MKCG Medical College, Berhampur: AIR 6,823

  • VIMSAR, Burla: AIR 8,871

  • FM Medical College, Balasore: AIR 12,345

  • PRM Medical College, Baripada: AIR 14,214

  • BB Medical College, Balangir: AIR 14,388

  • GMCH Keonjhar: AIR 16,668

  • SLN Medical College, Koraput: AIR 17,695

  • JKMCH Jajpur: AIR 18,936

  • GMCH Sundargarh: AIR 19,839

  • Government Medical College Bhawanipatna: AIR 21,977

  • Pabitra Mohan Pradhan Medical College, Talcher: AIR 22,921

  • Government Medical College Phulbani: AIR 24,020

These are provisional observed last OPNO allotments in the current file, not final Round 1 cutoffs.

They may change after discrepancy correction/final allotment.

Category-Wise Movement Is Much Deeper

The provisional result demonstrates why Odisha cannot be represented with one generic “MBBS cutoff”.

Among Home-State MBBS allotments, the provisional file extends approximately to:

  • OPNO: AIR 59,398

  • EWS (EWNO): AIR 20,609

  • SEBC (EBNO): AIR 70,319

  • SC (SCNO): AIR 3.34 lakh

  • ST (STNO): AIR 10.77 lakh

However, the deepest values can involve private institutions and very different candidate/college preference patterns.

Therefore these should not be interpreted as Government-college closing ranks.

For useful admission analysis, HGE must calculate cutoffs as:

College + Course + Quota + Category + Special Category

PwBD Movement — Keep Completely Separate

The provisional allotment also contains PwBD combinations that extend to very high AIRs.

Examples include:

  • OPPH

  • EBPH

  • SCPH

  • STPH

Some MBBS PwBD allotments extend beyond 9–10 lakh AIR.

This does not represent the ordinary Open/SEBC/SC/ST cutoff.

HGE must keep:

Vertical Category + PwBD

separate from normal category closing ranks.

State Government School Quota

The result includes:

290 SGS allotments

comprising:

  • 274 MBBS

  • 16 BDS

This route must be analysed separately from regular Home State seats.

Do not merge:

HS

with:

SGS

even when the same college/category appears in both.

NRI MBBS Allotments

The provisional file contains:

18 NRI MBBS allotments

under quota code:

NR

NRI allotments should remain a separate quota dataset because:

  • eligibility differs

  • fee differs

  • seat availability differs

  • cutoff movement is completely different from ordinary Home State seats

The deepest NRI MBBS allotment in this provisional file reaches beyond AIR 10 lakh.

Again, this cannot be compared with Government Home-State MBBS closing ranks.

BDS Round 1 Analysis

The provisional result contains:

128 BDS allotments

The BDS allotments include Government and private dental institutions and move substantially deeper than mainstream Government MBBS.

For example, BDS Home-State allotments in the current provisional file extend beyond AIR 11 lakh under ST reservation.

HGE should therefore maintain:

Odisha MBBS Round 1 cutoff

and

Odisha BDS Round 1 cutoff

as separate datasets.

Why “AIR 10 Lakh Got MBBS” Can Be Misleading

The provisional result does contain MBBS allotments beyond AIR 10 lakh.

But those records occur under specific combinations such as:

  • ST reservation

  • PwBD

  • State Government School

  • NRI

  • private institutions

Therefore students should never see a social-media headline saying:

“Odisha MBBS cutoff crossed 10 lakh”

without the exact quota/category/college.

A meaningful cutoff always needs context.

Students With a Provisional Seat

If you received a desirable seat:

  • verify quota/category

  • save the provisional result

  • keep original documents ready

  • wait for final allotment/reporting instructions

  • do not assume the provisional rank is the final cutoff

Students With No Seat / Lower Preference

Do not conclude Round 1 movement is finished.

Final correction plus later-round movement may occur due to:

  • corrected provisional allotments

  • non-reporting

  • upgrades

  • surrendered seats

  • category/quota vacancy movement

  • Round 2 seat availability

Your strongest Round 2 analysis should be based on the Final Round 1 closing ranks, once published.

HGE Advice

Check your quota and allotted category first, not just your college.

If anything appears incorrect, use the official discrepancy route before 25 August 2026 at 2:00 PM.
