West Bengal NEET UG 2026 Registration Extended Till Further Notice

🚨 IMPORTANT WBMCC ROUND 1 REVISION

>

West Bengal Medical Counselling Committee has officially announced:

>

“Registration process is extended till further notice.”

>

The earlier 16 August 2026 — 6:00 PM registration deadline should therefore no longer be treated as final.

What Has Changed?

The previously published Round 1 schedule stated:

Online Registration: 13 August 2026 — 11:00 AM to 16 August 2026 — 6:00 PM (as per server time)

WBMCC has now superseded that registration closure by announcing:

Registration Extended Till Further Notice

New Registration Deadline

There is currently:

No new final date or closing time announced.

⚠️ Do not publish an assumed new deadline such as 17 August, midnight or any other time.

>

WBMCC has only stated “till further notice.”

Who Should Act?

Candidates who:

  • missed the earlier registration deadline,
  • could not complete registration,
  • faced portal/application issues, or
  • still need to participate in West Bengal Round 1

should check the official WBMCC registration portal again.

Important — Do Not Automatically Extend Other Deadlines

The new Latest News message specifically says:

Registration process is extended till further notice.

It does not currently publish revised dates for:

  • Fee Payment
  • Candidate Verification
  • Successfully Verified Candidate List
  • Round 1 Seat Matrix
  • Choice Filling
  • Choice Locking
  • Round 1 Allotment Result

Therefore Hire Guide Education should keep these activities under official clarification/reverification rather than assuming they all moved automatically.

Earlier Published Schedule

The original Round 1 schedule had provided:

  • Registration — till 16 Aug, 6 PM
  • Fee Payment — till 16 Aug, 12 Midnight
  • Verification — 14, 17 & 18 Aug, 11 AM–4 PM
  • Successfully Verified Candidate List — 19 Aug after 12 Noon
  • Round 1 Seat Matrix — 19 Aug after 12 Noon
  • Choice Filling + Locking — 19 Aug 4 PM to 21 Aug 4 PM
  • Round 1 Result — 25 Aug after 4 PM
  • Reporting — 26–28 Aug, 10 AM–4 PM

Because registration has now been extended beyond the original schedule, candidates should monitor WBMCC closely for any corresponding revised schedule.

Candidate Action Now

  1. Open the official WBMCC UG Medical & Dental Counselling page.
  2. Check Candidate Registration & Login.
  3. If registration was incomplete, retry the registration process.
  4. Complete all required details carefully.
  5. Save your application/registration confirmation.
  6. Check WBMCC frequently for a revised final registration deadline.
  7. Do not assume fee payment or verification dates are automatically extended.
  8. Follow only a fresh WBMCC notice for revised downstream dates.

Portal Access Note

WBMCC continues to list the official Candidate Registration & Login link.

During Hire Guide Education's direct automated verification, the NIC candidate endpoint returned a temporary “Something went wrong” page.

This is being recorded as a portal-access issue and does not cancel WBMCC's official registration-extension announcement.

Candidates should retry through the official WBMCC parent page.

Hire Guide Education Advice

Candidates who missed West Bengal registration have received another opportunity.

However, because WBMCC has not yet published a new final date/time, complete registration as early as possible.

Do not wait for another assumed deadline.

Also watch for a revised WBMCC schedule because the registration extension may require changes to later Round 1 activities.
