Tamil Nadu Selection Committee has officially released the Round 1 schedule for MBBS and BDS admissions 2026-27.

The schedule covers applicable:

• Government Quota
• Management Quota
• NRI
• Minority
• CMC Vellore
• IRT Ward
• Other eligible institutional routes

Eligibility for each route remains separate.

Government Quota

Government Quota candidates from:

General Rank 001 to 35926

with NEET marks shown in the official schedule from:

705 to 177

subject to applicable eligibility and reservation rules.

Management Quota

Management Quota candidates from:

General Rank 001 to 26956

with NEET marks shown from:

693 to 177

subject to Management / Minority / NRI and other applicable eligibility.

⚠️ Rank inclusion alone does not automatically make a candidate eligible for every quota or institution.

Important — Rank Lists Have Also Been Updated

Tamil Nadu Selection Committee has newly published:

• Addendum to Government Quota Provisional Rank List
• Addendum to Management Quota Provisional Rank List
• Addendum to 7.5% Government School Provisional Rank List
• NRI Eligible Candidate List
• Christian Minority Eligible List
• CMC General Merit / Minority / Staff eligibility lists
• IRT Ward eligible list
• Other applicable institutional/special-category lists

Candidates should therefore recheck the latest official list before filling choices.

Do not rely only on a previously downloaded rank list.

Government Quota Registration Fee

Candidates participating in online choice filling must pay:

₹500 — Non-refundable Registration Fee

Government Quota Security Deposit

Government Medical Colleges

Government Dental Colleges

Government Quota Seats in Self-Financing Medical/Dental Colleges and State Private Universities

₹30,000 refundable security deposit

Applicable SC / SCA / ST and SCC candidates with annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh are exempt as specified in the official schedule.

Management Quota Registration Fee

₹1,000 — Non-refundable Registration Fee

Management / Minority / NRI Security Deposit

For Management Quota including Minority/NRI seats in Self-Financing Medical/Dental Colleges and State Private Universities:

₹1,00,000 refundable security deposit

Applicable SC / SCA / ST and SCC candidates with annual family income below ₹2.5 lakh are exempt as stated in the official schedule.

Choice Filling Rules

Candidates can fill choices only for seat categories/routes for which they have applied and are eligible.

For example, a candidate who applied for both:

• Government Quota
• Management Quota

can receive applicable choices from both sections.

Candidates should arrange choices in their actual order of preference.

Choices Can Be Edited Before Locking

Candidates may edit choices multiple times before final locking.

However:

• Tuition fee
• Security deposit
• College type
• Location
• Previous cutoff
• Bond/rules

Auto-Locking Rule

Tamil Nadu Selection Committee states that if a candidate does not manually lock choices by:

19 August 2026 — 5:00 PM

the submitted choices will be:

Automatically Locked

Candidates should still manually review and lock choices instead of relying on auto-locking.

Seat Matrix

The official schedule states that the course-wise seat matrix will be available on the Selection Committee website.

Candidates should check the latest official seat matrix before finalising choices.

Hire Guide Education should also update the Tamil Nadu 2026 seat-matrix database when the final Round 1 matrix is available.

Round 1 Result

Round 1 allotment result is scheduled for:

21 August 2026

Allotment Order

Selected candidates can download the Provisional Allotment Order from:

22 August to 28 August 2026 — up to 12 Noon

Applicable candidates allotted MBBS seats and Government Dental College BDS seats must pay the prescribed tuition fee online for downloading the allotment order.

Reporting / Joining

Joining is scheduled from:

23 August to 28 August 2026

Final deadline:

28 August — 5:00 PM

Certificate verification will be conducted at the allotted college.

Candidates must report in person with their required:

• Original Certificates
• Scanned copies of originals
• Allotment Order
• Applicable fee/payment proof
• Other prescribed documents

⚠️ Failure to report within the prescribed date/time can result in cancellation of selection/admission.

Important Candidate Checklist

4. Decide your realistic college preference order.
