West Bengal NEET UG 2026 Round 1 Verification Today — 11 AM to 4 PM
Important action reminder for West Bengal MBBS/BDS candidates: WBMCC Round 1 registration and fee payment have now closed, and the counselling process has moved into the candidate-verification stage.

Official window: 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Candidates must follow the college and time slot designated by the WBMCC software.
Who Needs to Act Today?
The revised WBMCC schedule states that after successful:
online registration, and
counselling fee payment,
candidate verification is carried out at the already designated college and time slot generated by the software.
The final verification day in the revised Round 1 schedule is:
24 August 2026 — 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM
Important: This Is Not a Walk-In at Any College
Do not choose a verification centre yourself.
Candidates should check the centre/time allotted through the WBMCC process and report accordingly.
Carry the original documents required under the WBMCC Information Bulletin and any applicable category/domicile documentation.
NRI Candidates — Keep Separate
The revised schedule specifically states that this general designated-college verification procedure is not applicable to NRI candidates.
NRI candidates must follow the separate WBMCC NRI instructions and eligibility/document-verification process.
HGE should therefore keep:
General/State/Management verification
and
NRI verification
as separate counselling routes.
What Candidates Should Check Before Reporting
Confirm that registration was successfully completed.
Confirm that the counselling fee was successfully paid.
Check the designated verification college.
Check your reporting/time-slot details.
Carry the application/registration documents.
Carry NEET UG 2026 documents.
Carry domicile documentation where applicable.
Carry original category/EWS/OBC/SC/ST/PwD certificates where applicable.
Carry all other documents prescribed by WBMCC.
Keep photocopies and acknowledgement/proof of successful verification.
⚠️ Verification can directly affect whether your name appears in the successfully verified candidate list used for Round 1 choice filling.

List of Successfully Verified Candidates
Round 1 Seat Matrix
These should become HGE's new controlling data sources once published.
Choice Filling Starts

Choice Filling & Locking Ends
27 August 2026 at 4:00 PM
Only verified candidates in the applicable list should proceed according to WBMCC's Round 1 process.
Important HGE Seat-Matrix Rule
The WBMCC portal currently links an earlier Round 1 seat matrix.
However, the revised schedule expressly provides for publication of the Round 1 seat matrix again on 25 August after 12 Noon.
Therefore HGE should:
Re-download the matrix tomorrow.
Compare it against the previously stored matrix.
Identify any college-wise/quota-wise seat changes.
Replace the earlier matrix only where the new official version changes it.
Preserve the old matrix as an archived version rather than silently overwriting the source history.
Merit / Verified Candidate List Rule
The currently visible provisional candidate list predates completion of the reopened registration cycle.
The 25 August Successfully Verified Candidate List should therefore become the main candidate-list reference for Round 1 choice filling.
Do not use an older provisional list to estimate final Round 1 participation without rechecking tomorrow's official list.
