CENTAC NEET UG 2026 Revised Draft Merit List Released — Check Before 27 Aug 10 AM
Important Puducherry MBBS/BDS counselling update: CENTAC has published the Revised Draft Merit List for UG NEET Courses 2026-27.
🚨 Objection Deadline: 27 August 2026 — before 10:00 AM
>
Candidates should check their revised merit position, category and quota eligibility now and submit any genuine objection through the CENTAC Dashboard before the deadline.
Revised Draft Merit List Published
CENTAC's official merit-list page states:
Revised Draft Merit List for UG NEET – Medical / Dental / BAMS Ayurveda / B.V.Sc. & A.H. [National SS & NRI] (2026-27)
Published on: 25 August 2026
For MBBS/BDS candidates, the important point is that CENTAC has now revised the candidate merit/eligibility position before Round 1 allotment.
Objection Deadline
CENTAC has officially instructed candidates to:
Submit objections, if any, through Dashboard before 27 August 2026, 10:00 AM.
Candidates should not wait until the final few minutes.
If your:
- name
- merit position
- category
- quota eligibility
- reservation claim
- NRI status
- special-category status
appears incorrect, use the official Dashboard grievance route.
Government Quota Lists
CENTAC has published separate Government Quota merit/category lists covering:
- General / Government Quota
- EWS
- OBC
- MBC
- BCM
- EBC
- SC
- ESM
- FF
- PwD
- Government School Students
The official page currently shows ST as NIL and MSP as NIL in the respective merit-list table, while a separate MSP non-eligible candidate list is also linked.
Candidates should check the exact category relevant to their application.
Management Quota & NRI Lists
CENTAC has separately published revised draft lists for:
- Management Quota
- MQT
- NRI
- applicable NRI Veterinary route separately
For MBBS/BDS counselling, Management and NRI candidates should not compare their position directly with Government Quota candidates.
These are separate seat pools with different eligibility, fee and competition patterns.
Why This Revised List Matters
A revised draft merit list can affect:
- candidate merit position
- category eligibility
- Government vs Management consideration
- special reservation status
- Round 1 allotment eligibility
Therefore students should use the 25 August revised draft list, not only the older 17 August draft merit list.
JIPMER Internal Quota Candidates — Separate Important Notice
CENTAC has also separately published a notice for candidates who received JIPMER Puducherry/Karaikal MBBS seats through MCC under Internal Puducherry UT Domicile quota.
Those candidates are proposed to be removed from CENTAC Round 1 allotment unless they follow the specific CENTAC willingness/objection process applicable to them.
If you are a JIPMER Internal allottee, check:
- the official JIPMER allottee list
- your CENTAC Dashboard
- the separate removal notice
immediately.
Do not assume that appearing in the revised CENTAC merit list automatically overrides the separate JIPMER-allottee rule.
What Candidates Should Check
- Open the revised draft merit-list page.
- Select your applicable quota/category.
- Search your name/application details.
- Check your merit position.
- Verify category.
- Verify Government / Management / NRI status.
- Check special-category status if applicable.
- Submit a genuine objection through the Dashboard before 27 August, 10 AM.
Important for Government Quota Candidates
Government Quota candidates should verify that their correct reservation category appears in the relevant revised list.
A candidate's rank should not be compared only with another student's NEET AIR without checking the applicable category and quota.
Important for Management / NRI Candidates
Management and NRI seats have different:
- eligibility requirements
- fee structures
- merit pools
- seat availability
Always check the exact list applicable to your application.
What Happens Next?
After completion of the objection process, candidates should continue monitoring CENTAC for:
- final merit/eligibility position
- Round 1 allotment
- seat acceptance/payment
- reporting/admission instructions
Do not follow unofficial Round 1 result dates unless CENTAC publishes them.
